• 1–3 hours → $200 travel fee + mileage

Today’s Topic: The Personality Styles // Creative
Over the next several weeks inside Behind the Drapes, we’re diving deeper into one of my favorite layers of personal style—the energetic code behind how we dress, decorate, and even carry ourselves.
Each of us holds a unique style identity that is deeply rooted in either yin or yang energy. It’s not about gender—it’s about the energetic expression that naturally radiates from you. Your personal style identity is made up of one of six key archetypes: three yin and three yang.
The Yang Energetic Codes:

The Creative
Inventive Spirit. Expressive Aesthetic. Inspired Confidence.
The Creative embodies the dynamic, free-flowing essence of original thought and artistic expression. Where the Classic finds beauty in order and the Dramatic in bold clarity, the Creative captivates through uniqueness, imagination, and a sense of soulful authenticity. Their presence is intriguing, unpredictable, and alive with possibility—think curated chaos with a deeper purpose.
The Physical Form
Creatives often possess a distinctive look—something arresting, unexpected, or unusually harmonious. Their features may defy conventional symmetry, blending softness with sharpness in a way that feels entirely their own. What defines them isn’t uniformity or balance, but a captivating sense of individuality.
Look for: expressive eyes, unexpected lines or angles in the face or frame, asymmetrical features, and gestures that convey emotion or spontaneity. Their posture often has a relaxed, fluid quality—open to interpretation, much like their style.
But as always, it’s not about the specifics—it’s about energy. The Creative radiates originality, openness, and an unmistakable spark.
Personality Traits
Creatives are intuitive, imaginative, and deeply expressive. They are often multi-talented, with a natural curiosity that leads them to explore many interests. They thrive in environments that allow freedom, experimentation, and room to play.
They may resist rigid rules or predictable paths—not from rebellion, but from an inner drive to do things differently. Creatives value meaning over convention, and authenticity over perfection.
They wish to be seen as original, inspired, and emotionally resonant—never routine, always evolving.
Style Preferences
Creatives are drawn to eclectic details, expressive pieces, and unexpected combinations. They favor clothing that tells a story—rich in texture, color, or silhouette. Their style is often a blend of eras, influences, and moods—personal, poetic, and always in flux.
Think artistic layering, imaginative silhouettes, and touches of whimsy or symbolism. Their wardrobe is a canvas, and getting dressed is an act of creation.
Expect to see:
Unconventional pairings – oversized knits with delicate skirts, tailored blazers with bold prints, vintage mixed with modern
Rich textures – velvet, raw silk, crochet, embroidered cotton, hand-dyed fabrics
Unexpected details – asymmetry, draping, mixed patterns, visible stitching, or handmade elements
Signature pieces – statement jackets, sculptural jewelry, patterned scarves, artful shoes
Accessories? Symbolic, personal, and a little offbeat. Think vintage brooches, artist-made earrings, layered necklaces, worn leather satchels, and pieces collected from travels or flea markets.
Color palette? A fluid spectrum. Creatives don’t limit themselves to one set of tones—they mix earthy hues with brights, pastels with jewel tones. Think ochre with lilac, teal with rust, black with gold—chosen by mood, not rules. Nothing feels forced. Everything feels intentional.

A Creative’s home is a living extension of their inner world—imaginative, emotionally rich, and deeply personal. Whether it’s a sun-drenched studio, a colorful vintage bungalow, or a cozy apartment filled with treasures, their space hums with feeling, inspiration, and the beauty of imperfection.
This isn’t about minimalism or trends—it’s about meaning. Story. Soul.
The hallmark of a Creative home? Intentional eclecticism. It may appear effortless, but every item carries resonance. Spaces unfold like a visual journal: layered, intuitive, and filled with small surprises. There’s a gentle sense of chaos—but always with a heartbeat of harmony beneath.
You’ll see:
Velvet or linen sofas layered with patterned throws and mismatched pillows in painterly hues

The Creative + Pets
Creatives tend to choose pets that reflect their emotional depth and soulful spirit. They’re drawn to animals with personality—quirky, expressive, maybe even a little mysterious. These companions aren’t accessories—they’re muses, confidants, and emotional anchors.
Think:
A rescued mixed-breed dog with soulful eyes and an old soul energy
A fluffy long-haired cat that lounges on piles of laundry and watches you paint or write
